What is the REAL impact of tech companies hosted by Ferntech

May 23 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

GTEC NO BULLSHIT LAB

What is the REAL impact of tech companies hosted by Ferntechwith Young-Jin Choi from PHINEO

The meetups will contain a lecture, followed by Q&A and as always networking and interesting people.

Newly emerging exponential technology platforms such as the Internet of Things, robotics, distributed books, synthetic biology and artificial intelligence are disrupting traditional economic sectors and have the potential to fundamentally change our society. In this context, entrepreneurs and investors have the opportunity to use the forces of entrepreneurship, capital and technological progress as a means (rather than an end in themselves) to build “tech4good companies”: purpose-driven companies that make an extraordinary contribution to a better future. In practice, however, we find that the positive environmental and social compatibility potential of new technologies is often not yet fully exploited.

At this meetup, we will clarify why this is the case and how the Impact Management Framework can close this gap, and why it was originally developed.
