We’re thrilled to share with you great news for GTEC: Alexander Piutti, the serial social entrepreneur, just joined us as the new GTEC Managing Director!

Some of you might know Alexander as the founder of GameGenetics or, most recently, the founder of SirPlus, the outlet for rescued surplus food. For us, it’s fantastic to welcome such a great business mind with the life mission to make the world a better place to our leadership team, and we’re really excited to have him work alongside our Founding Manager Director Benjamin Rohé to bring GTEC to new heights.

You can get all the details here.

This is not the only change around GTEC though, there have been a few more in the last couple of months. To start, after three years of intense and successful collaboration, Christoph Raethke, our MD Education, is transitioning within GTEC to the role of an Industry Expert. This means he will no longer be involved in day-to-day operations and instead, he’ll be our prototype for a new figure we want to establish within GTEC – the Industry Expert. He’ll be supporting some of GTEC’s Executive Education and Workshop formats while working on taking Berlin Startup Academy’s accelerator model to the next level.

On top, and to keep up with GTEC’s ongoing growth and high ambitions to unlock the potential of entrepreneurship and technology in Germany, Europe and beyond, we’re happy to share with you that Maria Gross, who has been until recently GTEC’s Lab Program Manager, has become now our Director, Operations. This change comes after less than a year of her joining the team after previously having held leadership roles at Social Impact Lab Berlin and EIT Climate-KIC.

And finally, Mor Eini, former Program Manager of Hub:raum in Tel Aviv, joined also our team to help us keep strengthening the no-equity and no-cost offerings for startup founders and innovators in 2018. She’s going to lead our efforts to build an international network of opportunities, including not only offering prime location space and events but also a new tailor-made solution to cover the needs of entrepreneurs on-demand. We’re so grateful to have her with us too!

All these changes are just the beginning of many more exciting news to keep coming – stay tuned subscribing to our newsletter to receive all the news first!
