Benjamin Rohé

Benjamin Rohé

Founding Managing Director

Since the age of 15, Benjamin has been working in the tech, renewable energy, and digital industry founding several companies and becoming an active early-stage investor in 2007. He has also advised DAX companies in the field of innovation and entrepreneurship. Benjamin is a lecturer and speaker at several European universities and conferences, including MIT, the Economic Forum, CDTM in Munich, Maastricht University and Zeppelin University – where he also helped to create an investment fund for university startups. Benjamin started GTEC in 2014.

Alexander Piutti

Alexander Piutti

Managing Director

Alex Piutti is a serial entrepreneur, business angel, corporate advisor and prolific startup mentor with more than 15 years of senior management experience, focusing on the development and launch of Internet products. Before founding and scaling GameGenetics, Alex was engaged in various leading internet companies, such as Head of Search Products Europe for Yahoo! and as an early employee of Overture Services, later sold to Yahoo! for $1.6 billion. He holds a degree in Electrical Engineering and received his MBA and MA from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.

Robin Weninger

Robin Weninger

Director, Education

Robin has focused his career on leading and guiding companies through their challenges of change. He has worked closely together with thought leaders and management thinkers to develop state-of-the-art practices for action-orientated management. He has co-founded shapingwork, a management think tank on the future of work, and a software company as well. Furthermore, he’s a lecturer at various business schools and in 2015 he was honoured as a Global Shaper by the World Economic Forum. Robin leads the Education initiatives from the GTEC Campus in Frankfurt.

Maria Gross

Maria Gross

Director, Operations

Maria started her career at Daimler. After years of learning about the success factors of corporates, she decided that her path will take a different direction. She holds a Master’s in Nonprofit-Management and has long-term experience in different fields of (Social) Entrepreneurship. As the manager of the Social Impact Lab Berlin she expanded her own network within the Entrepreneurship scene and deepened her practical knowledge about running incubators. As an Entrepreneur herself, she co-founded Vehement, the world’s first brand for sustainable fight gear and ROCK YOUR LIFE! Berlin. Since 2017, Maria is the Director Operations at GTEC where she can leverage her experiences in the corporate, the startup and the academic world.

Anya Klyukanova

Anya Klyukanova

Manager, Communications

Anya is the Communications Manager at GTEC. With a bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Digital Arts, and a Master’s in Policy, Anya is well-suited to liaise with all points of the GTEC pyramid: startups, corporations, and academics. Before joining the GTEC team, Anya worked in a few startups and helped establish the Skolkovo Institute of Science and Technology in Moscow, working alongside some of the most innovative minds inside Russia. She’s now running GTEC’s programs, communications, and Innovation Awards while building up the GTEC family around the globe.

Mor Eini

Mor Eini

Innovation Program Manager

Mor Eini is currently a program manager at GTEC for the EU Soft-Landing program that aims to build a European startup ecosystem in order to help startups to engage with different European markets. Mor was managing hub:raum Israel (Deutsche Telekom’s incubator & investment vehicle). Prior to her position at DT, she was working as the community manager of EcoMotion: Global Community for Innovative Smart Transportation in Israel. Mor Eini has a double Bachelors Degree in International Relations and the Middle East and Islamic Studies, Hebrew University of Jerusalem, Israel.
Anastasia Mihajlova

Anastasia Mihajlova

Junior Manager, Programs & Research

Anastasia is the Junior Manager for Programs and Research at GTEC and is the right hand of the operations team, using her analytical and operational skills to help with research and outreach. She holds a B.Sc. in Economics from Freie Universitat Berlin and before joining GTEC, she worked in an investment company in the field of healthcare while helping to organize international innovation conferences. Anastasia believes that change is what keeps us going and you can find her at events promoting GTEC and preaching about the startup ecosystem in Berlin.  

Monica Zaldivar

Monica Zaldivar

Manager, Marketing

Monica leads all Marketing efforts at GTEC related to our acceleration programs, events, and educational workshops. She also supports our GTEC Lab and GTEC Startup Academy entrepreneurs into getting their marketing strategy right from day one. She holds a Bachelor Degree in Audiovisual Communication, which she completed in Berlin at the Freie Universität, and at the University of Technology Sydney. Having always worked in marketing, community management and social media roles for several Berlin startups, she brings exactly the innovative knowledge and hands-on attitude that GTEC aims to infuse into the ecosystem.
Lena Bödeker

Lena Bödeker

Manager, Corporate Partnerships and Programs

Lena is managing the partnerships and programs with GTEC’s corporate clients. She previously worked as an Associate at the METRO Techstars accelerator and at the Airbus accelerator, where she also completed her master thesis on corporate acceleration. Lena completed her Bachelor Degree in International Business Economics at Maastricht University and Nanyang Technological University in Singapore. She also holds a Master Degree in Organizational Innovation and Entrepreneurship from Copenhagen Business School.

Michelle Besier

Michelle Besier

Manager, Events

Michelle is the event manager in Frankfurt hub. She supports the team with back-office activities and is responsible for the coordination with start-ups, logistics and events. She takes care of everything that makes the office run like a charm and ensures that everybody feels in good hands. Michelle is currently doing her bachelor’s degree in Business Administration in a dual scheme and focuses on the topic of change management.

Oliver Clasen

Oliver Clasen

Advisory Board, Business Development

After undergoing training as a banker, Oliver completed his study in BA at Goethe University Frankfurt in connection with various internships in Toronto and New York. He started his career as an assistant to the executive board in the Dresdner Bank Investment Group. Tasks in portfolio management followed leadership roles in institutional asset management. From 2008 to 2011, Oliver was, inter alia, responsible for the institutional customer business in Germany as managing director of Cominvest and the Allianz Global Investors Group. Since 2012, Oliver acts as founder, investor, mentor and management consultant.

Anders Indset

Advisory Board, Strategic Partnerships

After selling his communication group and creative design agency, Anders has co-founded and invested in various tech companies. Anders is an internationally renowned sparring-partner for Fortune2000 CxOs as well as for various startups. As an international keynote speaker, author, and occasional investor, the Norwegian-born also works with leading international business schools on topics of change, creativity, and leadership. He brings to GTEC his business philosophy, inspired in learnings from the past paired with the scientific knowledge and technology of tomorrow.

Christoph Räthke

Christoph Räthke

Industry Expert

An Ancient History M.A. by education, Christoph has worked in the digital industry since 1996 and joined his first startup in 1999. After stints at Deutsche Telekom and Berlin-based digital agencies, he began running tech events in 2008 and accelerators in 2010. In 2012, Christoph founded the independent accelerator Berlin Startup Academy. He is a prolific international mentor, host, speaker, columnist and book author on all aspects of digital entrepreneurship. At GTEC, he is supporting some of the Executive Education and Workshop formats.

Prof. Dr. Julian Kawohl

Prof. Dr. Julian Kawohl

Scientific Advisor

Prof. Dr. Julian Kawohl is a professor of Strategic Management at HTW Berlin University of Applied Sciences. Dr. Kawohl’s main objective is to demonstrate the possibilities for established companies to transform themselves and their business models into modern, innovative, and agile organizations. In order to link his research activities closely with practice, Dr. Kawohl initiated the Corporate Startup Award and acts as Creative Director and Chairman of the Jury.

Johannes Peschko

Johannes Peschko

Industry Expert

Johannes is investor, board-member and business angel in numerous young companies. He advises large corporations in the field of entrepreneurship and digitalisation and is an expert in renewable energy technologies and B2B businesses. He co-founded his first venture capital fund in 2009 and has set himself the goal to improve how we use our resources. He studied Mechanical Engineering and Management at the TU Berlin and is an alumnus of Stiftung der Deutschen Wirtschaft e.V.

GTEC was founded in Berlin, Germany by Innogy, Henkel, Globumbus, Noerr, and the Sigmund Kiener Stiftung, and is headquartered in Berlin-Mitte. To expand our entrepreneurial reach, we’ve opened another campus in Frankfurt am Main. In 2018 GTEC entered into a global partnership with WeWork to bring satellites and hubs in additional locations.

In the past two years, GTEC has also been home to more than 60 startups from over 10 countries who moved to Berlin to grow their company in the Lab or refine their ideas in the Startup Academy.
